The Chairman of Regional State Administration Oleksandr Vilkul met Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to Ukraine Josef Markus Wuketich.
During the meeting the Chairman of Regional State Administration noted the interest in cooperation of the region with Austria and defined following prior directions.
«First of all, we are interested in attraction of foreign investments into regional economy, - noted Oleksandr Vilkul. - Secondly, we are interested in introduction of modern energy saving technologies on the basis of positive Austrian experience in this branch. Thirdly, we are interested in the organisation of the joint Ukrainian-Austrian enterprises for the purpose of the consumer goods production on the basis of Dnipropetrovs’k hi-tech enterprises which, at the objective reasons, do not use their full capacities».
Separately the chief of the region told about prospects of creation of the modern logistical centre. As he said, the expediency of functioning of such establishment in Dnipropetrovs'k region is caused by a successful geographical location of the region in the middle of East Ukraine, availability of two international airports which connect region with the foreign countries, and also the navigable river and port.
In his turn Josef Markus Wuketich thanked Oleksandr Vilkulu for fruitful cooperation and expressed confidence that further Austrian-Dnipropetrovs’k relations would be developed and become stronger.
